For 2026, we are welcoming back War to the Shore and Queen City Running Elite. These were last year’s winners for the Mixed and Open Divisions, and are looking to defend their title!
Our Journey
Founded in 1992, the Great Lakes Relay was established to promote outdoor fitness and community engagement. Our mission is to provide an unforgettable relay running experience that fosters teamwork, challenges your physical limits, and showcases the natural beauty of Michigan’s outback. We value community, integrity, and sustainability, ensuring that our event is not only enjoyable for participants for supports local businesses and organizations. Proceeds help support the Michigan Special Olympics as well as local many organizations.
